A few weeks ago Google started forcing me to complete a captcha before every search while using Firefox. I'm not using a VPN. I can only assume it's related to my use of ad blockers or a privacy-protecting setting within Firefox they now take issue with. The usefulness of Google's search results is on the decline anyway... so I'm only so upset about it.

@brian @mcc do you have any reason not to try other search engines? I switched off Google on principle a long time ago, and frankly I hadn't had much crap, except now AI generated sites.
